About Us

In 2022, the ARMPLAST INVEST factory was established in Armenia with Slovak investments.

The presentation of the factory took place in September 2022 at "Ibis Yerevan".

The factory, which is a member of the EU-Asia Business Finance Center Holding, was built in Armenia with Slovak investments, produces composite armature, which is sold in Armenia and abroad.

During the presentation, the attendees got acquainted with the operation of the factory, the production of composite armature and the practical fields of application.

ARMPLAST INVEST

FIELD OF APPLICATION

CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS

CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS

APPLICATION IN AGRICULTURE

CONSTRUCTION OF RESERVOIRS/ SWIMMING POOLS

This set of rules applies to non-metallic composite reinforcements made of glass and basalt fibrous materials with a periodic pattern and round cross section (hereinafter referred to as NMFA) and defines the requirements for their application in the various areas.

Those areas can be reinforcement of concrete floors, repair of structural elements of irrigation, reinforcement of constructions of non-bearing and seasonal greenhouses of agricultural production buildings, structural reinforcement of structural elements of prefabricated temporary buildings, etc.

1) reinforcement of concrete floors, preparatory layers of various floor coverings, slabs, pedestrian walkways, and sidewalks,

2) repair of structural elements of irrigation, drainage, and drainage systems,

3) in constructions exposed to aggressive environments (chlorine salts, high-density aggressive gases, etc.), including the reinforcement of constructions of chemical production waste storage facilities,

4) reinforcement of constructions of non-bearing and seasonal greenhouses of agricultural production buildings (cattle, warehouse buildings, etc.),

5) during the construction of residential, public, and industrial buildings and structures, structural reinforcement of non-bearing structural elements (thin-walled structural elements, sound-insulating, and heat-insulating slabs, internal and external architectural details, etc.)

6) structural reinforcement of structural elements of prefabricated temporary buildings,

7) reinforcement of loads on weak foundations (swamps, high humidity, and sedimentary soils, temporary roads),

8) during the production of concrete structural elements (precast foundation blocks, sewer manholes, pavement curbs, individual elements of automobile roads, which are exposed to the aggressive effect of anti-freezing additives (reagents),

9) in works of thermal insulation of external walls of buildings and reinforcement of plasters, in constructions of fences,

10) structural reinforcement of three-layer (with heat-insulating layer) non-bearing (hanging) walls of frame buildings,

11) reinforcement of concrete retaining walls and coastal wave protection prefabricated constructions,

12) basalt threads (roving) as dispersed reinforcement in the production of fiber concrete,

13) for the reinforcement of concrete layers of rockfill dams and canal bottoms, also in concrete, stone, and geotechnical constructions.

Characteristics of composite armature

Composite non-metallic armatures are characterized by the various distinguishing features. Some of them include the fact that the calculated resistance of the non-metallic armature is about five times higher than the resistance of the armature made of class A-III steel, the non-metallic armature keeps its original size very well and is less prone to deformation, the composite armature is not subject to any corrosion damage,
etc.

Composite non-metallic armatures are characterized by the following distinguishing features:

• There is no yield state of the material under any load, this allows to use of the most complete stress characteristics of their temporary resistance to failure;

• The calculated resistance of the non-metallic armature is about five times higher than the resistance of the armature made of class A-III steel;

• Elongation of the new rebar in tension is in some cases up to 12 times less than the equivalent steel rebar. That is, the non-metallic armature keeps its original size very well and is less prone to deformation;

• The modulus of elasticity can provide a wide range of 55 – 200 MPa, depending on the fibers used;

• The specific gravity of composite reinforcement is four times less than that of steel. Replacing steel reinforcement with a composite one of equivalent strength reduces the weight of the reinforcement frame by more than ten times.

• The composite armature is not subject to any corrosion damage when exposed to absolutely aggressive environments (including the aggressive alkaline environment of concrete), the durability of such constructions is estimated to be no less than 80 years;

• The coefficient of thermal expansion of the new reinforcement corresponds to the same coefficient of concrete, which eliminates the occurrence of cracks in the structure during temperature changes;

• Composite armature practically does not transmit heat, its thermal conductivity is a hundred times less than that of steel;

• It does not lose its working properties even at low temperatures;

• Non-metallic armature is radio-transparent, diamagnetic, and dielectric.

PRODUCTION OF COMPOSITE REINFORCEMENTS

Non-metallic armature structure

This type of armature consists of a matrix and reinforcing elements. The reinforcing elements are continuous high-strength fibers interconnected by a polymer matrix in the rod. The outer surface of this armature has a constant and continuous rhombic relief. Composite reinforcement is manufactured using a new, high-performance technology called plane intrusion.

According to the type of fibers used in production, the following types of composite reinforcement with a diameter of 4 to 20 millimeters are produced:

NMFA – non-metallic fiberglass armature

NMBPA – non-metallic basalt-plastic armature

The rebars are quite flexible and are sold in round packaging with a length of 100 meters or in the size preferred by the customer.
